A good design process is key to a successful project. Design evolves over a period of time during which we discuss, digest, think and rework ideas until the best solution is arrived at.
CONCEPT DESIGN
Concept design is also called sketch design or design solution. It is the time that we define your goals, analyse constraints and review design options. It is an interactive process requiring a lot of discussion, thought and feedback by both parties
DEVELOPED CONCEPT
By now the concept design will be signed off – the size, location, form and external materials. The design will be checked to ensure it meets all territorial authorities’ rules & building code requirements. Secondary elements will be defined and additional information added to the drawings. If the design requires the input from other consultants eg: structural engineer, geotechnical report etc. an estimate of their costs will be requested on your behalf.
BUILDING CONSENT DOCUMENTATION
This is where all documentation required by your local council is completed, so they can approve your Building Consent application.
